Birmingham City Council is bankrupt

Commissioners have stepped in to help with the running of Birmingham City Council after it has effectively been declared bankrupt.

This mess is a direct result of a failure to tackle equal pay liabilities since 2017 and the Council cannot continue to run away from the difficult decisions.

I will continue holding the council to account and will be working with commissioners to ensure essential services across our area do not suffer because this councils failures.
